Elwyn Early Learning Services Opens New Location

Thursday, 2 February 2023

As the largest provider of early intervention and assessment services in the state, and the exclusive source of evaluations for children ages 3-5 in Philadelphia, we strive to deliver efficient and accessible service. To adapt to the growing needs of Philadelphia’s most vulnerable, underserved communities, Elwyn Early Learning Services Centers are now strategically located in the neighborhoods where families and children live.

Highlights and features include the following:

  • The new center includes five classrooms to support children with developmental delays, autism, and hearing loss.
  • The center serves children and families who live in West, Southwest, and South Philadelphia. The hearing support classroom is available for children throughout the city.
  • Teaching staff work with a team of specialists to provide each child with comprehensive, coordinated support.
  • Modern classroom technology enables collaboration between staff, offers accessibility to digital curriculum, and features interactive components for the students.
  • The site is equipped with a state-of-the-art playground for children to explore, climb, and play outside.

Chuck McLister, Elwyn President & CEO, cut the ribbon with Ronnie Williams, Vice President of Children’s Services, and Michell Hodge, Executive Director of Early Learning Services.
