David Bowers

David "Dave" Bowers is Elwyn’s Vice President of Finance, where he oversees corporate accounting, external financial and tax reporting, treasury and cash management, purchasing, and accounts payable. Since joining Elwyn in 2019 as Corporate Controller, Dave has played a pivotal role in enhancing the organization’s financial operations.

Dave was instrumental in Elwyn’s financial turnaround, leading efforts to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the financial close, redesign financial reporting and annual audit processes, modernize accounts payable procedures, and implement an expense management system.

Prior to joining Elwyn, Dave served as an audit manager in the not-for-profit and healthcare practice at Grant Thornton LLP. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit finance, he has dedicated his career to helping human service organizations strengthen their financial stability and ensure long-term sustainability.

Dave holds a BS in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
